Do Just One Thing
When you open a package of tofu, don't automatically dump the liquid down the drain. Tofu water can be repurposed as a cooking liquid -- use it in place of some of the water or broth in soups, sauces, curries or when cooking grains and oatmeal. You can also dilute it with fresh water and use it to water outdoor plants, which gives them a protein boost. Or pour it into your compost pile for extra moisture and organic material.
