As a longstanding favorite among people-moving vehicles, the Toyota Sienna is no stranger to Grasso’s Garage. Its simple design, comfort and extraordinary space has set the industry standard in the minivan category.

In our week-long test of the Sienna XSE, we noticed some sporty new flair that is sure to attract even more customers. Our Cement Grey Sienna XSE tester was flawless, powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder hybrid engine producing 245 combined horsepower, paired with an electronic CVT transmission that was quiet and smooth.

This stylish seven-seat minivan is not your typical family workhorse from the Caravan and Voyager days, but rather a spacious cargo vehicle fit for the modern life, similar to the illustrious KIA Carnival.

The six trim options for the refreshed Sienna include LE, XLE, Limited, Woodland, Platinum and our XSE tester. Meanwhile the Sienna boasts six exterior color and two interior options, as well as two drivetrain options.

The 12.3-inch infotainment system was standard on our XSE tester, as well as the eight-speaker audio multimedia, wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and SiriusXM. Additional standard features that jumped out at us include the sunroof, 20-inch wheels, LED Headlights and six USB ports.

Optional items included a 1500W power inverter with two 120V outlets, rear seat entertainment with an 11.6-inch display and carpets floor mats. The XSE package was an additional $3,880 and included black accents, an upgraded 12-speaker JBL audio system with subwoofer and amplifier, power tilt steering wheel, memory and heated power mirrors, and eight-way adjustable drivers seat.

The Toyota Sienna’s modern design, flawless comfort and simplistic utilization give the KIA Carnival a serious run for its money. Consumers will be hard pressed to find a better minivan in today’s automotive market.
