There's no cure for the common cold, but there are a few things you can do to ease the symptoms and get well more quickly. Keep a cup of warm water with table salt mixed in nearby at all times and, whenever you can, gargle with it. Make sure the water is warm, but not too hot, and that the salt remains mixed in. Doing this on a regular basis not only helps shorten the cold, but also soothes your throat.
