Since it’s the end of the semester in many schools, we’re going to have a six puzzle semester exam that reviews mating attack themes we’ve covered. Let’s see if you’re quick to spot them.


It’s the old rule number one: look at all checks, captures and forced moves. Here the checks are White’s with the captures and forced moves all Black’s. 1.Nf6+ gxf6 2.Qf8+ Kxf8 3.Bh6+ Kg8 4.Re8#
