Here we are with another Greco early composition. They are amusing because was the stone age of composing, and the big lesson they were teaching is no matter whether you’re threatened with mate next move or you’re down heavy material. We have it all here! However, White triumphs against all odds!


The final position is the moral of the above story. A lone rook serves his king well after his team members sacrifice themselves: 1.Ng5+ Rxg5 2.Rf6+ Kxf6 3.Rd6#
