Iain Robertson, a Scottish actor who appeared in “Band of Brothers,” has been found guilty of raping one woman and assaulting two others.

In total, Robertson was convicted on Tuesday of five counts — including domestic abuse in addition to rape — involving three different women between 2004 and 2019, BBC News reported.

During his trial at Glasgow’s High Court in Scotland, jurors listened to a pre-recorded statement from the rape victim. She recalled how she first met Robertson while they worked together on the set of “River City,” a BBC Scotland soap opera set in the fictional district of Shieldinch in Glasgow. She said that while she never wanted anything romantic, she believed Robertson did, and eventually, their relationship escalated.

“It was a long back and forth. Iain was convinced I was in denial about having feelings for him and in denial about what I wanted,” she said. “I do not think he believed me.”

The woman added that she felt her “boundaries were being ignored.”

She said the rape occurred one night between 2018 and 2019. She planned to spend the night at his place, on the couch, when he insisted they have sex.

“I was lying down, I was very limp and he went on top of me,” she said.

Another woman, also an actor, testified that the Robertson “lunged” at her during an argument in 2014, BBC News reported. He left an “obsessive” amount of calls and voicemails on her phone, she said, and sent snack boxes to theatres where she’d been performing.

During his time on the stand, Robertson denied wrongdoing, but he also acknowledged that he was “no angel.”

“I am aware enough to know if the person is not as present as I am in what we are doing,” he said of the rape allegation. “I am sensitive enough to be aware there are non-verbal ways to communicate.”

Robertson, who has been out on bail, was taken into custody at the conclusion of his trial. He is due to be sentenced at the High Court in Edinburgh on July 23.
