NEW YORK — A 17-year-old boy was beaten into a coma on a Midtown Manhattan street following the Knicks’ dramatic NBA Finals Game 4 win, police said Friday.

A group of attackers is being sought.

The assault happened after the Knicks’ 107-106 victory over the San Antonio Spurs at about 11:45 p.m. Wednesday outside the Juniper Bar on West 35th Street near Eighth Avenue — about two blocks from Madison Square Garden.

Police said the victim, who lives in Connecticut, and the attackers had been celebrating the win outside the bar but began arguing after someone yelled “Spurs in 7,” a police source with knowledge of the case said.

A friend of the victim’s replied with an expletive before fists were thrown, the source said.

The ensuing beatdown was recorded on a social media post.

During the fight, the victim was repeatedly punched and kicked, then had a seizure.

Medics rushed him in critical condition to Bellevue Hospital. He was briefly in a coma with fluid in his lungs, but he has since woken up and is expected to survive.

The attack happened as 10 cops were injured and 56 fans were arrested as jubilant fans went wild in the streets of Midtown during the Knicks’ come-from-behind victory — with celebrants destroying a yellow cab and Citi Bikes and setting off fireworks.

Videos circulating online show jubilant Knicks fans stomping on Citi Bikes, climbing street lights, attempting to steal traffic signs, and ripping out poles cemented into the sidewalk.

In another video, a group of men, one waving a Palestinian flag, jump onto a yellow cab, shattering the windshield. One of the men was whipping the hood of the cab so hard with a belt he was denting it, the video shows.

The group also tried to flip the taxi over, police said. Fans climbed on top of four NYPD vehicles, damaging their windows. Some broke into a tractor trailer, stealing items inside.

Other videos show fans setting off fireworks in the street and getting quickly arrested.

As the game went on Wednesday, crowds north of MSG grew to about 10,000 people and “became increasingly destructive,” the NYPD said.

The wild behavior and mass arrests have New Yorkers wondering how the NYPD will be protecting the city during Saturday’s Game 5 NBA Finals game, especially if the Knicks win the series.

“I don’t know if the city can handle this, bro,” former Orlando Magic player and seven-time NBA all-star Tracy McGrady said on his podcast, Cousins, on Wednesday at the beginning of Game 4, speculating on a Knicks title win. “This city is about to be Gotham City.”

“Citizens of New York, stay home,” McGrady warned. “Enjoy it from your television or from your building. Stay inside.”
