VIDEO: Stray dog escapes leopard at Indian college

(UPI) Security cameras at an Indian veterinary college recorded a tense scuffle between a leopard and a stray dog that almost became its meal.
CCTV cameras at Bombay Veterinary College in Goregaon, Mumbai, show the leopard chasing the dog down a flight of stairs outside the women's hostel on campus just after 4 a.m. Friday, India Today reported.
The leopard pounces on the dog and appears poised to make a kill when the canine breaks free and flees.
The leopard gives chase, but its unclear whether it managed to catch up to the fleeing dog.
School officials told the Hindustan Times leopards are known to wander in from nearby wooded areas, leading them to remind students not to feed the stray dogs on campus. Officials said they are concerned the dogs could draw more leopards to the area.
