Tip: Cut Down Asparagus Ferns

National Gardening Association
Once asparagus ferns begin to yellow and die, cut them to the ground and remove. Yellowing asparagus ferns will not send nutrients to the crown and they may harbor diseases such as asparagus rust and insects such as asparagus beetle.

In your article about yellowing asparagus ferns you state that you should cut the fern down to the ground. Will the plant come back out or is it dead?
