Tip: Deadhead Daylilies
National Gardening Association
Deadhead spent daylily flowers by breaking them off. When all the
flowers on a scape (stem) have faded, snip off the scape near the base
to keep plants tidy and prevent them from going to seed.

I also have daylilies planted for the first time.I need to know weather or not they bloom more then once a summer or in the fall do i dig up the bulbs to dry them out for next spring? if i only deadhead the tops of the lilies do they produce more or do i cut them all the way down at the top of the bulb? please email me more info on daylilies
