Q&A: Transplanting Daylilies
Question: Will it harm my daylilies to transplant them once they have grown two or three inches? Amy McClary Ft. Knox, KY
Answer: Assuming you're growing your daylilies from seed, I'd let them get larger, with more leaves, before I'd transplant them. They are tough plants, but any seedling is more sensitive to transplant shock than older plants. Wait until they are at least 6-8" tall.
