I planted portulaca in a container several years ago. When winter came I moved the container to the garage. In the spring I put it back outside and kept it watered. The seeds it had dropped sprouted and bloomed beautifully. It's certainly is an inexpensive way to keep this beautiful plant going for years.

My mother loved this plant and I purchase it every year. I mainly put it into containers, hanging ones are particularly beautiful. I also make sure it is in the cemetery pot each year at my parents site. Its a lovely reminder of my mom.
