Gardenias

I live in zone 7b in Northeast Mississippi. I have 2 8 ft. gardenias. I cut about 3 ft off the top every other year. Mine are in the shade and I have clay soil. They have hundreds of blooms at a time.Smell is over powering. They stay green all winter. I've lived here since 1999 and have done nothing but trim and water if needed.

Gardenias

I live near Jacksonville, FL and it gets pretty cold here and sometime freezes. Do I bring my gardenias inside? What can I do to protect them?

How do I prepare Gardenia for the Winter?

This spring, I planted a gardenia plant. It is about 2 feet high and very green. After the first flowering..it did not flower any more but it is green and healthy. No special care given. However I live in Jacksonville ( almost Georgia) and it is getting in the 50's. Do I need to cover these plants?

Gardenia

I have tried to grow gardenia bushes twice. They do well for about 2 seasons and then they begin to go down hill with leaves yellowing and falling off and fewer and fewer blooms. I've planted one in mostly sun and one in part shade. I live in Zone 7 and have watered when the weather is dry.
