TCU men's basketball taking preseason trip to Central America for 2 games

TCU men’s basketball will take a preseason trip to Costa Rica, the program announced Friday.
The Horned Frogs will play in two exhibition games in Playa Hermosa and San Jose during the trip July 31-Aug. 5. It’s TCU’s first international trip since 2024, when the Horned Frogs played in London and Paris.
The opponents have not been announced.
Expectations will be high for the Horned Frogs next season coming off last year’s run in the NCAA Tournament. TCU defeated Ohio State in the first round before falling to No. 1 seed Duke in the second.
The Horned Frogs return four players from last year’s rotation, including All-Big 12 forward Xavier Edmonds, junior wing Micah Robinson and point guard Brock Harding.
TCU also added a quality transfer portal class led by last year’s Big West Freshman of the Year Gavin Sykes from Long Beach State.
