Fitbit Mania

When the “10,000 steps a day” craze started, my husband and I bought in. We strapped pedometers to our waistbands and got hoofing it.

Over our lunch break, we’d tie up our athletic shoes and head to the dog park around the corner. It’s a big park. Two blocks long on each side. We’d walk at a brisk pace around the park three times. Each time we passed the doggie play section, we could see what the canines were up to. We got our entertainment as well as our steps.

By the end of day, we’d easily surpass our 10,000 steps goal. Yay, us.

But did I lose any weight in the process? Nope. Not a pound.

Fast forward to 2017 and the Fitbit craze is in full gear.

I had no intention early in the week to write about Fitbit but I’ve been getting negative comments about them from clients, so I decided to check into this further...

This is a ZReboot recipe. So maybe you just got into ZReboot. You’re craving something smooth and creamy. You want something that tastes as good at that gelato shop downtown, but you’ve learned the sugar is not a great idea. In steps this dessert.

If you are a coffee-flavored dessert lover, your dream boat just docked!

Serves: This will make about 3 scoops of wonder but you can easily double the recipe for more people.

Ingredients:

1 block of full fat cream cheese, room temp. If you don’t have time to let it come to room temp you can take it out of the package, put in a bowl and microwave on high for 15 seconds and that will soften it up.
1 Tbl of instant coffee (or instant decaf) dissolved in ¼ cup of water. Just let it sit and it will “brew.” I let it set overnight but you don’t have to. Just give it a good 15 minutes or more.
2 tsp of vanilla
3 – 4 tsp of Truvia

Instructions:

Put the ingredients in a medium bowl and whiz with your hand mixer until it’s fluffy.

Then cover the surface with plastic wrap and put in the refrigerator to chill and firm up. Scoop with an ice cream scoop into your favorite bowl (I use a medium scoop instead of the large one). This tastes so rich you won’t need a big portion.

Enjoy!
Cheers,
Zola
