COLUMBUS, Ohio (UPI) -- Police in Ohio sent an escaped pot-bellied pig found in a local neighborhood crying "wee, wee, wee all the way home."

Columbus Police responded to the area to find the runaway pig after receiving an unusual call on Tuesday morning.

"Pot belly pig running loose. Caller afraid it's going to get hit by a car," police dispatchers said.

Officers arrived to discover the runaway pig and managed to place it on a leash before attempting to usher it into a police cruiser.

"It wouldn't get in a cruiser so officers waited on the Capital Area Humane Society who arrived with a crate," police said.

The situation came to a quick end as police managed to return the stubborn fugitive pig to its owners in about an hour.

"It went wee, wee, wee all the way home," police said.
