Make grilled pizza like a pro in 7 easy steps

Step 5: Flip your dough.

Use a pizza peel or large metal spatula to flip the dough.

Step 6: Add toppings.

Working quickly, top the dough with the prepared ingredients, including sauce and cheese, leaving a 1-inch border. Close the lid and cook until the toppings are heated through, any cheese is melted and the crust is brown, about 8 minutes.

Step 7: Remove the pie, slice and serve.

 

Using a spatula, carefully lift part of the pizza onto the pizza peel or baking sheet, and use the spatula to push the dough on the rest of the way. Slide the pizza onto a cutting board, cut into slices and serve. If you are making several pies for a crowd, invite guests to try one slice at a time, so they can enjoy the first pie while you make the next one.
