This showed up on the internet the other day, so I thought I would share it. Black to play and win. A very important endgame lesson!


Only one move wins! As usual it’s all about trading queens at the right moment and getting the opposition for your king: 1...Kh5! [1...Kf5 2.Kh1 Qf4 3.Qh3+ Ke4 4.Qe6+ Qe5 5.Qg4+ with a perpetual chase and a draw] 2.Kh1 Qh4+ 3.Kg2 Qxg3+ 4.Kxg3 Kg5 5.Kf3 Kf5 6.Ke3 Kg4 7.Kf2 Kf4 8.Kf1 Kf3 9.Ke1 f5 10.Kf1 f4 11.Kg1 Ke2
