Lasker – Bauer Amsterdam, 1889 1.Bxh7+ [White had previously played Nh5.] 1...Kxh7 2.Qxh5+ Kg8 3.Bxg7 Kxg7 4.Qg4+ Kh7 [4...Kf6 5.Qg5#] 5.Rf3 e5 6.Rh3+ Qh6 7.Rxh6+ Kxh6 8.Qd7 1–0 Just for the fun of it, memorize the players, place and date, so when somebody gives you this problem, you can say,”Oh, Lasker-Bauer, Amsterdam, 1889.” That’ll impress them!
