These stars are shining extra bright on “Star Wars” Day.
Mark Hamill, Pedro Pascal and more “Star Wars” actors celebrated May the Fourth — a play off of the “May the Force be with you” lines from the movies — with social media posts on Tuesday.
“I‘m beginning to accept the fact that I’ll probably never do another movie that gets its own day,” tweeted Hamill, who portrays Luke Skywalker in “Star Wars.”
He also included the hashtag #MayTheFourthBeWithYou_Once_In_A_Lifetime.
Pascal, the star of the live-action series, “The Mandalorian,” tweeted a behind-the-scenes photo showing him in costume with his title character’s helmet sitting atop his head.
“Category is: helmet head realness,” Pascal wrote on Twitter. “#Maythe4thBeWithYou.”
Natalie Portman, who played Padme Amidala in the “Star Wars” prequel movies, shared a throwback photo alongside Ahmed Best, who portrayed Jar Jar Binks.
“Throwback to the Blue Mountains with my forever friend @bestahmed — while shooting episode 2 in Sydney, 20 years ago!” Portman wrote on Instagram. “#maythefourthbewithyou.”
Others who commemorated the day include Billy Dee Williams, who plays the smooth-talking smuggler Lando Calrissian.
“May the Fourth shine extra bright for everyone this year and May the Force always be with you,” Williams tweeted. “#StarWarsDay #MayThe4thBeWithYou.”
Meanwhile, Anthony Daniels, who plays the droid C-3PO, posted a YouTube video in which he reads an excerpt from his book, “I Am C-3PO.”
“To Celebrate this date in 2021, still sadly in Covid, I thought we might all sit round the fire and listen to another excerpt from my book,” Daniels tweeted, along with the video link. “OK, there’s no fire and we can’t sit together but we can listen. Stay Safe and the Force will be with you.”
