Former Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem has filed for divorce from her husband, months after it was revealed that he was a part of the “bimbofication” fetish community.

The 54-year-old former Trump administration Cabinet member formally asked for a divorce from Bryon Noem in a South Dakota court on Monday, according to local outlets including Dakota News Now.

She reportedly cited “irreconcilable differences.”

Bryon gained international notoriety in March following reports that he was part of a fetish movement whose members frequently dress in tight clothing, wear makeup and gravitate toward silicone implants. In the aftermath of the scandal, Oxford University-educated gender studies scholar Katarina Polonska described that predilection to Forbes as a “fantasy of a femininity that is maximally available and aesthetically exaggerated.”

Bryon told The New York Times after his alleged hobby was exposed that he would address the situation “at some point,” though he still has not.

People reported that the Noems married in 1992 and have three children. The teenage sweethearts worked on her family farm together before Kristi went into politics. Bryon went on to start an insurance agency.

Kristi Noem was fired from her job as the head of Homeland Security in March. Her 14-month tenure was marred by several instances of violence involving immigration enforcement officials for whom she was responsible. The former South Dakota governor was reassigned as special envoy for the newly created Shield of the Americas.
