Right-wing influencer Milo Yiannopoulos has changed his tune on ICE and President Donald Trump after being deported from the U.S.

The British activist, who lived in Los Angeles before being detained by immigration officials in a Louisiana airport on Friday, said his epiphany coincided with his personal experience with the Trump administration’s hardline on immigrants.

“They put you in manacles, your hands, your feet, chain it together,” he complained from the “Piers Morgan Uncensored” show’s London studio on Tuesday.

The 41-year-old provocateur, who previously celebrated the Trump administration’s crackdown, expressed shock that he was treated like a gang member being sent away.

Yiannopoulos said he was terrified during the deportation experience he described as “humiliating” and “physically degrading.”

“I didn’t really understand the physical reality of how institutionalized the brutality is in America,” he confessed.

Department of Homeland Security officials said Yiannopoulos legally entered the U.S., then “chose to overstay his welcome in violation of our nation’s laws” before he was shipped to the U.K. He told Morgan he thought he held a valid green card.

His previous support of ICE on social media included one 2025 post indicating he might find watching a deportation sexually arousing.

Yiannopoulos, who worked on rapper Ye’s brief presidential campaign and boasted of interning for former GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, told Morgan that his views have changed.

“If I had any clue that anything remotely like this was even possible, I would never have gotten involved in supporting Trump in the first place and I’m very ashamed that I did,” he said.
