BALTIMORE — Anne Arundel County Police officers are investigating a shooting that injured six people in the early hours of Saturday in Hanover.
When police arrived at the 1300 block of Charwood Road in Hanover at 4:40 a.m., a large crowd was dispersing. Six people have reported injuries after the shooting, including one man who was shot in the torso and who first responders took to a local hospital, police said.
Three area hospitals alerted police to five additional victims throughout the day, including two boys with lower extremity injuries. Three adults were also injured, according to the report.
The scene is in an industrial area, leading detectives to believe the victims might have been at some meetup there, police department spokesperson Michael Brothers said Saturday morning.
Detectives are still investigating the shooting, interviewing the victims about what happened during the event.
