COL BKB: UAB 67, Butler 57

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (UPI) -- The University of Alabama at Birmingham, led by Jamarr Saners with 18 points, won its 10th straight game Tuesday, knocking off No. 16 Butler 67-57.

Kenneth Cooper and Elijah Millsap each contributed 11 points for the Blazers (11-1).

UAB took an 11-point lead with 13 minutes to play and stayed well ahead the rest of the way.

Gordon Hayward scored 12 points and pulled in 15 rebounds, Shelvin Mack had 11 points and Willie Veasley 10 for the Bulldogs (8-4).
