Jermain Taylor out of hospital after KO

BERLIN (UPI) -- Boxer Jermain Taylor was out of the hospital Monday after a thunderous weekend knockout in Germany at the fists of Arthur Abraham, his promoter announced.

Taylor was admitted to a Berlin hospital Saturday night with a possible concussion but was released the following day and told by doctors he was fit enough to continue his planned European vacation.

"I'm doing just fine and feeling good," Taylor said in a written statement from Showtime. "Right now my plans are to relax and enjoy my vacation in Europe with my wife, Erica."

Taylor was floored in the third round of his first fight in the Showtime "Super Six" tournament featuring Abraham and four other top middleweights. There was no word on Taylor's future participation in the tourney.
