MLB: Cincinnati 11, San Francisco 7

CINCINNATI (UPI) -- A combined nine RBI from Chris Dickerson and Edwin Encarnacion Friday allowed the Cincinnati Reds to out-slug San Francisco 11-7.

Dickerson drove in four runs with three hits, one of them a homer, and he scored three times. Encarnacion delivered a grand slam and five RBI, giving the Reds just their eighth victory in the month of August.

Edinson Volquez (16-5) got the win despite allowing a season-worst six runs on eight hits in 5 1/3 innings. He also walked three and struck out six.

Barry Zito (8-16) was victimized for eight runs on seven hits in just 3 1/3 innings. In two starts against the Reds this season, Zito has surrendered 16 runs in 6 1/3. The 16 losses are his career high.
