KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Chiefs are bringing in competition for struggling kicker Harrison Butker — but it doesn’t come without controversy.

Justin Tucker will sign with the Chiefs’ practice squad, a source told The Kansas City Star.

Tucker, a five-time first-team All-Pro, has been unemployed since the Ravens released him following his own kicking struggles in 2024.

The NFL suspended him 10 games in June 2025 after 16 massage therapists accused him of inappropriate sexual behavior, including allegedly exposing himself during massage sessions at Baltimore-area spas and wellness centers. He denied the allegations, which stemmed from 2012-2016, his first five seasons with the Ravens.

“I don’t think it’s enough,” one therapist reacted then to his 10-game suspension, per the Baltimore Banner, which broke the news of the accusations. “He got 10 weeks, and we have to deal with this the rest of our lives.”

Tucker, 36, has not been with an NFL team since his suspension.

He is the second-most accurate kicker in NFL history, behind only Cameron Dicker, but he struggled during the final of his 13 seasons in Baltimore, missing eight field goals and two extra points. After the season, the Ravens termed his release a “football decision.”

The Chiefs will hope his addition will light a fire into Harrison Butker, who has missed six kicks this season, including four over the past two weeks.

The Chiefs also worked out kickers Ben Sauls and Harrison Mevis this week, per a source.
