BALTIMORE — If the Ravens are going to end a home losing streak that extends more than 300 days and four games, they’ll have to do so without at least one of their top players.

Outside linebacker Trey Hendrickson underwent finger surgery on his right hand this week, and coach Jesse Minter ruled him out Friday ahead of Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans at M&T Bank Stadium. Hendrickson had not practiced all week after playing in last Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys in Rio de Janeiro.

Hendrickson suffered the injury in a season-opening win over the Colts and played through it with his hand heavily bandaged each of the past two weeks. However, after progressing to a full participant in practice by the end of last week, he did not practice at all this week.

“We think it’ll be very, very short term,” Minter said. “Just did a quick way to get that fixed and get him back. I think that’s gonna best for us moving forward long term.”

Being without Hendrickson is a a blow. The 31-year-old four-time Pro Bowl selection has a sack, 14 pressures and has been one of the league’s most double-teamed edge rushers through three games.

His presence has helped pave the way for others, including outside linebacker Tavius Robinson, who has two sacks and 12 pressures so far.

On the other side of the ball, the toe injury that kept left tackle Ronnie Stanley out of last week’s game against the Dallas Cowboys in Rio de Janeiro has continued to linger. He did not practice Friday after being limited the previous two days, but Minter was more optimistic about his chances of being able to play Sunday.

“I think he had a really good two days,” Minter said. “I think he’s in a good position.”

Should Stanley not be able to play Sunday, Carson Vinson, who logged his first career start last week, would fill the void.

The Ravens and Titans will release their final injury report of the week later Friday.
