LAS VEGAS — Tom Brady teased that there would be a couple of new entrants who sneaked their way into his top-10 power rankings this week.

But for the opponents against his placement of the Las Vegas Raiders, the seven-time Super Bowl winner said it best: “Just win, baby.”

Appearing on his weekly segment with Fox Sports, Brady defended ranking the Raiders at No. 9, significantly higher than most power rankings that have put the Raiders in 20s despite an unbeaten start to the season.

“Listen. It’s not a hometown bias by me,” said Brady, a minority owner of the Raiders and Fox Sports broadcaster. “Their plus-26 point differential is third in the league. Kirk Cousins — six touchdowns in two games — c’mon, that’s pretty impressive. Then look, undefeated is undefeated. What’s that saying? ‘Just win, baby.’ ”

The Raiders have done just that.

Brady did not include the Raiders in last week’s power rankings after a season-opening win against the Miami Dolphins. But a Week 2 win over the Los Angeles Chargers gave Brady enough reason to put Las Vegas, among eight 2-0 teams, in his top 10.

The Los Angeles Rams were the only 1-1 team ranked ahead of the Raiders, who are the lowest ranked 2-0 team in Brady’s book.
