Report: Giants QB Jaxson Dart could face season-ending knee surgery

NEW YORK — Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart could be out for the entire 2026 season.
A Tuesday MRI revealed that Dart’s left knee injury is worse than initially believed, per ESPN. And the Giants and Dart now are facing the possibility of season-ending surgery.
This stands in stark contrast to the organizational messaging of “He’s going to be OK” that came from a member of the Giants’ front office on the sideline during Monday night’s 28-6 blowout loss to the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif.
Dart was sandwiched between Rams pass rushers Byron Young and Josaiah Stewart, and his left leg folded when Stewart hit him.
Dart limped off under his own power but sat down on a cart to drive him for more tests, and he did not return to the game.
He watched the second half on the sideline in street clothes and did not speak to the media after the game.
Jameis Winston is now in line to be the full-time starter. He struggled terribly in relief of Dart during the lopsided loss.
