Chiefs share injury updates on Xavier Worthy, Cyrus Allen and Ashton Gillotte

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. — The Kansas City Chiefs’ injury list grew Saturday, with two additions.
Wide receiver Xavier Worthy suffered a shoulder injury. Rookie wide receiver Cyrus Allen suffered a bone bruise, a source told The Kansas City Star.
Worthy appeared to hurt his right shoulder as he made a diving catch near the goal line on a pass from Patrick Mahomes. The receiver hit the turf shoulder-first, with cornerback Kader Kohou rolling on top of him.
It’s the same shoulder Worthy injured on the third play of last year’s opener, when he collided with tight end Travis Kelce. He underwent shoulder surgery in the offseason and wore a non-contact jersey during the team’s offseason program.
Allen left practice on the front of a cart with athletic trainers, and he is considered “day to day.”
Defensive end Ashton Gillotte did not practice Saturday because of the hamstring strain he sustained Friday. Wearing a compression sleeve on his leg, Gillotte rehabbed with athletic trainers off to the side as his teammates worked on the field.
Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said Friday that he did not think Gillotte’s strain was “too bad.”
As was the case for the first three days of camp, cornerback L’Jarius Sneed and wide receiver Rashee Rice were limited. Sneed and Rice were on the field for warmups and installs but left before team periods began.
Defensive tackle Omarr Norman-Lott remains on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list, and he worked alongside Gillotte. Cornerback Mansoor Delane continues to practice in a yellow non-contact jersey.
Kicker Harrison Butker was absent Saturday for personal reasons. Special teams coordinator Dave Toub expects him back for Monday’s workout after the day off Sunday.
Linebacker Wesley Bissainthe also missed practice for an undisclosed reason.
