Fans congratulate Travis Kelce at Chiefs camp after Taylor Swift wedding
Published in Football
Travis Kelce received congratulatory cheers as he headed into his first Kansas City Chiefs training camp following his star-studded wedding to Taylor Swift at Madison Square Garden earlier this month.
The three-time Super Bowl champ, 36, who many believed would retired following his most recent season, waltzed into “Camp no. 14” Wednesday, according to a video the Chiefs posted to X, formerly Twitter.
“How we doing, guys?” he asked as fans could be heard congratulating him, presumably on his recent nuptials to the pop superstar.
The tight end has hardly slowed down since he and Swift, also 36, tied the knot at the World’s Most Famous Arena, over the sweltering Fourth of July weekend. Swift was in Montana days later with Kelce’s brother Jason and sister-in-law Kylie, and the newlyweds were in California that weekend celebrating the wedding of New York Giants receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster and Laura Kruk.
Schuester, a former Chiefs player, and Kruk were among the estimated thousand-plus guests who attended Kelce and Swift’s July 3 wedding, for which the streets around the Garden were closed off.
Adam Sandler officiated, Stevie Nicks and Paul McCartney performed. Despite the heatwave, many athletes and musicians were in attendance, as were famous faces from myriad mediums.
Among the guests were Kelce’s teammates, including quarterback Patrick Mahomes and coach Andy Reid, as well as Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles and her husband, NFL star Jonathan Owens, Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco, Bradley Cooper and Gigi Hadid, Karlie Kloss, Zadie Smith, Brad Pitt, Steven Spielberg, Mariska Hargitay and many, many more.
