Once again, a fourth-quarter surge, started by LaMelo Ball, helped the Timberwolves roll to a win. The Wolves beat the New Orleans Pelicans, 115-109, Friday night in New Orleans.
Ball scored nine of his 22 points in the first six minutes of the fourth quarter to get the Wolves rolling and was helped along the way by Jaden McDaniels, who finished with 23 points, and Ayo Dosunmu, who paced the Wolves with 26.
The Wolves have now won three straight games, despite being without All-Star Anthony Edwards. The Wolves also lost Joan Beringer in the first half after he left the game with a broken and bloodied nose.
Minnesota is now 7-3 on the season.
The Pelicans were led by Jeremiah Fears, who finished the night with 24 points.
The Wolves will now return home for extended stay with eight straight games at the Target Center which starts on Sunday night against the Utah Jazz.
