Saturday night’s game between the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees was rained out due to what the home team described as a “forecast of sustained inclement weather” in the Yankee Stadium area.

The game has been rescheduled to a split-admission doubleheader Saturday, Aug. 29, when the Red Sox make their second and final trip to the Bronx.

Tickets from the June 6 rainout are valid only for Game 1 at 1:05 p.m. ET. (Game 2 is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. ET.)

The Red Sox won Friday’s series opener 5-3, their first victory against their rivals since Game 1 of the 2025 wild-card series. The Yankees swept the Red Sox in three games when they first met at Fenway Park earlier this season; they’ll face off in Boston again at the end of the month, in a four-game set between June 25-28.

This weekend’s series finale is scheduled for 1:35 p.m. ET Sunday.

Left-hander Ranger Suarez, who was scheduled to start Saturday, will instead take the mound Sunday.

Star right-hander Cam Schlittler will start for the Yankees.
