(UPI) A South Carolina sheriff's deputy responded to a neighborhood to rescue a puppy that ended up with its head caught in a detached section of wire fence.

The Greenville County Sheriff's Office posted body camera footage to Facebook showing Master Deputy John Boyd working to free the "beautiful pup" from the chain-link fence.

The deputy worked for several minutes to free the canine, which "lived to bark another day."
