Published in Parenting News
'GHOSTBUSTERS: FROZEN EMPIRE'
Rated PG-13 for supernatural action/violence, language and suggestive references.
What it’s about: The sequel to the lega-sequel to the 1980s action comedy finds the new and old generation of Ghostbusters back in New York City battling the evil Elsa of ghosts.
The kid attractor factor: Older kids will be drawn to the family friendly spectral action and adventure, and the younger cast.
Good lessons/bad lessons: Busting ghosts is a team effort.
Violence: Some supernatural action and violence with ghosts and ghouls, dangerous and perilous situations, but no gore.
Language: Some strong language.
Sex: None, except for a weirdly naughty conversation about a sex dungeon.
Drugs: None
Parents’ advisory: OK for older kids who can handle some spooky action.

'IMMACULATE'
Rated R for strong and bloody violent content, grisly images, nudity and some language.
What it’s about: A young American nun arrives at an Italian convent and soon finds herself mysteriously pregnant.
The kid attractor factor: Not much — this horror movie is for adults only.
Good lessons/bad lessons: No conception is immaculate.
Violence: Some extreme bloody violence and gore — fighting, stabbing, suicide, etc.
Language: Some swearing.
Sex: Some nudity and discussions of sex.
Drugs: None
Parents’ advisory: This religious horror film is too gnarly for kids — adults only for this one.
