(UPI) Several vinyl copies of Beyonce's album Lemonade were accidentally pressed with the first half of a Canadian punk album.

Ontario-based band ZEX shared video of a misprinted copy of the yellow Lemonade vinyl record playing songs from their album Uphill Battle.

"Those of you who got the new BEYONCE record Lemonade, may be surprised to hear what will be playing on the A-Side," the band said.

ZEX guitarist Jo Galipeau told Slate they first learned of the error from a friend at a record store in London after a customer returned the mispressed record.

"One copy was returned because of [the mix-up], and they found out it was ZEX because they seemingly used something like Shazam which determines what an artist is," he said. And then my friend alerted me, and then within hours there was tons of very confused Beyoncé fans writing to us who had also done the same thing.

Magic Bullet Records, which released Uphill Battle confirmed the error to Pitchfork and Beyonce's label Columbia Records issued a statement explaining the mistake.

"Due to human error at the Celebrate Records plant in Germany, which Sony uses to manufacture vinyl, a small amount of the European run of the Beyoncé Lemonade vinyl included music from Canadian punk band, ZEX, on Side A," the record company said. Beyonce and ZEX were not aware of or responsible for the mispress. Fans who purchased the vinyl will be refunded and given a replacement copy. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.

Galipeau said he was able to acquire a copy of the bizarre record and many fans had offered to sell theirs for a profit.

"Some people have been writing to the band offering to sell their copy to us, at exorbitant prices, so we're not really that interested," he said.
