VIDEO: Man slams on brakes, stops inches from massive moose

(UPI) A dash camera captured the moment an alert driver in Newfoundland and Labrador was able to slam on his brakes and avoid a collision with a massive moose in the road.
Owen Murphy posted a video to YouTube showing footage from his late-night drive from Fermeuse to St. John's late last month.
Murphy and a woman can be heard talking inside the vehicle as it travels down the dark, rural road.
A moose suddenly darts into the road and Murphy slams on the breaks, stopping just inches from the large mammal.
"Moose!" Murphy yells.
"Oh Jesus Christ!" the woman shouts.
The moose, equally startled, flees into the woods.
