(UPI) A charity in Wales said it has been inundated with copies of Dan Brown's mystery-detective novel The Da Vinci Code.

A Swansea branch of the charitable organization Oxfam shared a photo of a massive pile of copies of The Da Vinci Code and a note requesting people donate vinyl records rather than more copies of the book.

"Today's Economics Lesson is about Demand And Supply. Currently we have too high supply of Da Vinci Codes and too low supply of Vinyl," the charity said. Please donate more records to keep our customers happy and to help us make even more money for Oxfam.

The shop's manager Phil Broadhurst told the Telegraph customers occasionally stop in to buy copies of the book, but donors help increase their stock almost daily.

"I would say that we get one copy of the book every day," he said. We still occasionally get a few people buying them but we would rather have records. Our sale of them have increased 25 per cent in the last year.

Oxfam experienced a similar issue last year when they received an excessive amount of copies of Fifty Shades of Grey, but Broadhurst said the Da Vinci Code display has been exceptionally popular with visitors.

"It's funny because with the Dan Brown sign people laugh and take a picture. We normally don't leave the displays up that long but have with this," he said.
