Poem for a New Moon

In its disappearance into the sea of Pisces, the moon somehow is more expansive than in its fullness, or as one poet described, "nature without check." If the new moon were a poem, it would be "Song of Myself" by Walt Whitman. "I celebrate myself, and sing myself/And what I assume you shall assume/For every atom belonging to me as good belongs to you."
