Every now and then I like to put instructional puzzles for little tykes and beginners, so readers who are teaching their kids or their friend how to play have some resources. This is a favorite that I use.
I like this because it makes them look at the whole board. Did they see the mate in one Black was threatening? Did they look at all the checks and captures? Hopefully, they get a good lesson in long moves by queens—for both sides! 1.Qxh6 mate
