Black to Play
Published in Chess Puzzles
A nice finish by Ivanchuk against Kryvoruchko at Tromso, Norway, in 2013.
Solution:
As many times happens the back rank mating ideas come to the fore: 1...Qc2 and White Resigned as after 2.Qxc2 bxc2 3.b3 Rxc1+ 4.Kb2 Ra1 Interestingly enough, Black’s first move was the only one to win.
