Black is in dire straits here. How can he escape getting mated?


Solution:

In the game Bannik-Vistanetskih, USSR, 1961 Black escaped with the ingenious 1...a1=Q+! 2.Rxa1 Ra2! and now White cannot take the rook because of stalemate. If White moves his rook along his first rank then Black just keeps sticking his rook in front of it!
