Olivia Rodrigo, the 18-year-old pop sensation whose breakthrough song "drivers license" is one of the biggest hits of 2021, will hit the road next year on her first world concert tour. It opens April 2 at San Francisco's Bill Graham Civic Auditorium and concludes July 7 at London's Eventim Apollo.
The opening acts for the tour are all young women singer-songwriters: Gracie Abrams (April 2–23); Holly Humberstone (April 25–May 25) and Baby Queen (June 11–July 7). Abrams is 22, Humberstone is 21 and Baby Queen (real name: Arabella Latham) is 24.
The Monday morning announcement of Rodrigo's tour comes barely two weeks after she earned seven Grammy Award nominations. Four of her nominations are in the most prestigious Grammy categories: Album of the Year (for "Sour"); Best New Artist; and — both for "drivers license" — Record of the Year and Song of the Year.
Following its release, "drivers license" in January broke Spotify's record at the time for the most streams in one week. As of mid-November, it has been streamed more than 1.1 billion times. The song topped the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart for eight consecutive weeks.
A Ticketmaster verified fan sale is open now through 11:59 p.m. Tuesday PT. Fans who sign up for the verified fan sale will be sent a purchase code on Thursday.
Any tickets not purchased through the verified fan sale will go on sale to the public Friday at 10 a.m. oliviarodrigo.com. However, the likelihood that all of the tickets won't be sold via the verified fan sale is extremely slim.
