Michigan included in PepsiCo recall of 120,000 cases of Gatorade
Published in News & Features
More than 120,000 cases of Gatorade have been recalled by PepsiCo due to undeclared color dyes, according to the Food and Drug Administration.
Michigan is one of 37 states affected by the recall.
The voluntary recall covers 28-ounce Gatorade products in the Lemon Lime, Lemon Lime Zero, Orange and Orange Zero products, which were found to contain the additives Yellow No. 5 or Yellow No. 6, according to the FDA.
The recall was initiated by PepsiCo on Sept. 25 and classified by the FDA as a Class II recall on Oct. 3, meaning the agency determined the products could cause temporary adverse health consequences.
The FDA recall number is H-0009-2027 and it is considered ongoing.
