NEW YORK — A third teen gunman has been busted in connection with the Bronx subway gang shooting that killed an innocent bystander and wounded five people, police said Monday.

The 15-year-old suspect, whose name was not released because he is a minor, was arrested Sunday and charged with murder, attempted murder and gun possession.

The shooting happened the afternoon of Feb. 12 as the No. 4 train headed toward the Mount Eden Ave. stop carrying scores of straphangers, including one youthful gang that boarded in Harlem and another at Yankee Stadium, police said.

The “chance encounter,” as police called it, between the two gangs sparked an argument that led to a physical fight, with shots ringing out as the train pulled into the station.

Three young shooters pulled out 9mm pistols and fired 19 shots, according to cops.

At least one person was shot in the train with the others shot as they were waiting on the platform.

Bystander Obed Beltran-Sanchez, 35, was shot in the chest and died at St. Barnabas Hospital, cops said.

Beltran-Sanchez was an immigrant from Mexico who had dreamed of going back home to his wife and children.

“He was very hardworking, an excellent person,” a friend in Mexico messaged the Daily News in Spanish after the shooting. “He faced a tremendous struggle but in short he was a great human being.”

The friend, who used to work with him at a post office in Mexico, told The News Beltrán-Sánchez left his home in Mexico two years ago, working in Canada before coming to New York City to support his family.

He planned to work construction in New York for one more year before returning to Tehuacán, a city in southern Mexico.

Three days after the shooting, 16-year-old Langel Jones was busted for murder and ordered held without bail. On March 14, a 14-year-old boy was arrested, with a prosecutor saying he fired the shot that killed Beltran-Sanchez.
