Obama, Clinton use lawyer to move to unity

WASHINGTON (UPI) -- A high-powered Washington lawyer is helping Sens. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton work through several issues to unify the party for November, spokesmen say.

Robert B. Barnett, who has negotiated multimillion-dollar book deals for several clients -- including Obama, Clinton and her husband, Bill Clinton -- is working to help the two presidential primary rivals merge into a unified front for the November general election, The New York Times reported.

"They were allies before they became competitors in the longest Democratic fight on record; they're re-establishing their relationship," said David Axelrod, chief strategist for the Illinois senator's campaign. "I expect that they will unify around the things that they both care about. They both have an interest in working closely together."

Obama topped the number of delegates needed to win the Democratic presidential nomination June 3. Days later, Clinton suspended her run to be the Democratic standard-bearer, pledging her support for Obama.

Terry McAuliffe, Clinton's campaign chairman, said the New York senator's supporters have been asked to help Obama win the White House.

"Hillary is 100 percent behind making sure that Barack gets elected president," McAuliffe said. "We're instructing everybody, 'Let's get on board, let's win this election.'"

Hump! I can tell that you have no respect for those who God might choose to have authority over this nation. So i really don't see you having any respect for God. How could you even claim to know the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and judge someone else. Didn't Jesus tell you, "Judge ye not thou you will be judged." I am a Christian and each and every day i began to see that non of those who claim to be Christians are obeying the word of God. When judgement to come upon this nation, guess what? The scriptures states it will start in the house of the Lord first. So before you go around condemning people who you have not given no place for eternity. I advise you to think first. Jesus said, if salt lose its flavor then it is no good. And i believe Christians has really lost there flavor. The are the most judgemental people on earth as if there better than everyone else. God said "He sends the rain on the just as well as the unjust. Repent of your sins that they may be blotted out. When Christ returns He will come back for a church without a spot or a wrinkle. Now read above your comment and ask your self are you clean free.

Humph ! God the Father, Son and Holy Ghost couldn't drag me to the polls to vote for Obama, and now they've enlisted the help of a silver-tongued lawyer? It figures.
