'GODZILLA X KONG: THE NEW EMPIRE'

Rated PG-13 for creature violence and action.

What it’s about: Double the creatures, double the fun. Godzilla and Kong team up to fight even more monsters.

The kid attractor factor: Kids who love monsters will love this one.

Good lessons/bad lessons: Sometimes rivalries need to be set aside for the greater good.

Violence: Lots of goopy, gross, creature violence and destruction.

Language: Some, not too much.

Sex: None

Drugs: None

Parents’ advisory: OK for older kids who have a thing for monsters, but too scary for kids who can't handle that kind of action.

'IN THE LAND OF SAINTS AND SINNERS'

Rated R for violence, and language throughout.

What it’s about: A group of IRA terrorists hide out in a remote Irish village after a bombing and encounter a retired assassin.

The kid attractor factor: Not much — this is a serious adult drama/thriller.

Good lessons/bad lessons: Protect the vulnerable, and remember that there is always a chance for redemption.

Violence: Bloody violence, assassinations, shootings, bombings, children in peril, abuse.

Language: Swearing throughout.

Sex: References to sexual violence.

Drugs: None

Parents’ advisory: Too mature for kids. OK for teens.
