'Docile' 11-foot python found at North Carolina storage facility

(UPI) A pair of animal control officers in North Carolina captured a massive Burmese python found in a storage facility.
Chatham County animal control Officer Kelly Rouse expected a 2-foot or 3-foot-long snake after receiving a call from the facility, but quickly called Officer Kelsey Pepper after seeing a photo of the 11-foot snake.
The two officers arrived at the facility to find the imposing white and yellow snake wrapped around an air conditioning unit.
"I peeked under the door and all I can see was yellow. We could see the snake's head from a little bit of a crack," Pepper told WRAL.
After locating the python Rouse and Pepper worked on a strategy to lift capture and transport the massive snake.
"She was going to take the head of it and then I was going to take the rest of the weight," Rouse said. She held it so that I can get around to the backside of it, and start moving it around.
The officers said the 75-pound python appeared accustomed to human contact and offered little to no resistance.
"Thankfully she was very docile. It seems like she's been handled a lot," Pepper said.
The python was placed in a plastic bin and sent to CCSB Reptile Rescue and Rehab where it may be placed up for adoption.
