MIAMI — Inter Miami made another roster move before the close of the MLS transfer window, signing Paraguayan midfielder Matias Galarza on loan from Argentine team River Plate through the conclusion of the 2026 MLS season, with a buy option at the conclusion of the loan.

He joins the Club pending receipt of his International Transfer Certificate (ITC) and P-1 Visa.

Galarza, 24, was a member of Paraguay’s World Cup team this summer, contributing one goal and one assist as the team reached the Round of 16.

He has played in Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana. He began his career in the youth ranks of Club Olimpia before joining Brazilian club Vasco da Gama on loan, where he made his professional debut and signed his first professional contract. In 2022, he moved on loan to Coritiba before joining Talleres on loan the following season. After making his move to Talleres permanent in 2025, Galarza joined River Plate.

At the beginning of 2026, Galarza was loaned to MLS team Atlanta United, where he spent the first half of the season before returning to River Plate. He had one assist in 10 games for Atlanta.
